Gigi's Gym

Daniel D'Agostino's New Home On The Web

Welcome

Me Fishing My name is Daniel D'Agostino and this is my personal website (formerly called Daniel D'Agostino on the web). The name "Gigi's Gym" is an inside joke, as is the phrase "for better preformance" (yes, I do know how to spell it), and the Null Neuron domain. Gigi's Gym was also the name of the Starcraft games I used to play online with my University friends.

About me

I am a 20-year-old Maltese student reading a BSc IT (Hons) degree at the University of Malta, currently in my third year. My friends call me Gigi at University because I have the same surname as the Italian DJ who was so popular in the 90s, Gigi D'Agostino.

Since I am seeking to pursue a career in Information Technology, computers obviously play a large role in my life. I use them to play games and communicate with people, and also for more technical aspects such as web design and programming. When possible, I like to combine both aspects and try to create a game of my own, or reverse engineer an old game, or create an informational website. I also have an active interest in Systems Programming, Network Programming and Machine Learning (one facet of Artificial Intelligence).

My circle of friends Computers have not always been my main interest. Until I turned 15, languages (natural languages, not computer languages) were my main area. Although languages are no longer my main area, I still remained fond of them. In fact, I became a Teacher of English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) when I was 18.

Although the majority of my hobbies are computer-related, I still have a few that aren't. I love going out, driving, bowling, walking long distances, table tennis, table soccer, football, travelling, photography, and listening/dancing to 90s music.
