New Savage Empire Speedrun World RecordsSince September 2020, I've held the world record for the fastest speedrun of The Savage Empire. But earlier this month, as I predicted would happen, Crystal Phoenix Hobbies managed to take over that title. A series of record speedruns culimated in one at under 10 minutes, breezing through the Myrmidex Caverns while turning the Myrmidex against themselves with the Charm spell. As if that weren't enough, a separate record of 36 minutes and 47 seconds was also set with the prerequisite of following the game's plot by uniting all the tribes.
As a result, the Speedruns section of the Savage Empire Walkthrough page has been updated with all the new speedruns, which you'll find under "Third Generation Speedruns". The earlier speedruns have been categorised under first and second generation.
On a separate note, the Trivia section of the Ultima 9 Fun page has also been updated because someone has found a fifth way to trigger the Armageddon cutscene.
