The following have been spotted on the web in recent days:
- Remember DOUG the Eagle Dragon (of IT-HE Software)? He's got a YouTube channel. Whereas before you could read about his mischief, you can now watch it in action. I've added the link to the relevant WebDB2 entry for future reference.
- Raymond Benson (lead writer for Ultima 7) playing the Love theme from Ultima 7: The Black Gate. I've added a link to the U7BG Guide's main page.
- The CRPG Addict's quest in Ultima 7: The Black Gate is ongoing. He's passed through Britain and Cove, retrieved the magic carpet, and got his butt kicked in Dungeon Despise.
Meanwhile, I've made a number of updates to the Ultima information at Dino's Ultima Page. Here is a summary of what's new:
- Savage Empire Bestiary: added a link to monster data from the game at The Codex of Ultima Wisdom.
- Ultima 4: added links to the CRPG Book review, the Ultima 4 Part 2 parody, and a computer-generated map by Andrew Schultz. Also added links to a number of transcripts to the U4 Dialogue page.
- I have added some manuals and transcripts, originally from Quill Dragon's Lair, to the Ultima 1, Ultima 4 and Ultima 9 pages.
- As a result, there is also a new Transcripts section in the main page of the Ultima 1 Guide.
- Added a link to The Digital Antiquarian's account of the development of Ultima 6. Among other things, this article mentions the infamous story of how Richard Garriott was knocked out by a metal bar, later leading to the in-game joke involving the plaque in Ultima 7: The Black Gate. As a result, I've added a similar link to the U7BG Fun page.
- As part of my ongoing effort to make Dino's Ultima Page mobile-friendly, I've worked out a way to make image galleries automatically adapt to the size of your screen. The Ultima VIII: Exile Surviving Information is the first page to use this new kind of gallery, and as I further refine on this, I will gradually roll it out to the rest of the site.
